Please, strictly follow these steps to update your software

1. On your webserver:

2. Stop the website to be updated by launching "Webdev 1?" administrator:

   1. In Webdev administrator and using the "Sites" tab:

   2. Select the website line to be updated

   3. Check "WebDev site blocked (for update) + Refresh

3. Next, save all directories of the site to be updated using Windows Explorer, such as S4i/Exe/S4i_Web/your start page etc...

4. Delete the subdirectories FR/NL/S4i_Web and its subdirectories

5. Download the new version of Socrate for Internet

6. Click here to download the compressed update file "S4i_Maj_15_X_xxx.exe" using "Save as and not open"

7. Decompress the downloaded "S4i_Maj.exe" file in a temporary directory of your choice on your webserver, e.g. C:\TFT\

8. Proceed as follows to copy and paste the decompressed files of the "S4i_Maj.exe" file to the website directories:

   • Directory "S4I_Web" to "?:\S4i\S4I_WEB"

   • The "Exe" directory files to the directory containing "S4I.wdl"

   • Remark : there are now *.awl files to be copied in the same directory !

   • The directory "$ Load Customer.be" gives some examples of HTML start pages. This directory should not be installed on the site, as it contains only examples !

9. Attention, this new version Socrate pour Internet 8 asks a new web engine.

10. This new engine is available at the bottom of this page in version 15

11. See installation guide at the bottom of this page or ask help to our technical advisers to install this new engine 15

12. After this new engine is installed

13. Launch the website with "Webdev 15" administrator

    1. Use the "Sites" tab

1. Select the blocked website line, which has now been updated

2. Uncheck "WebDev site blocked (for update) + Refresh

14. Enter the website and check the update quality by going over the modules

To upgrade the engine Webdep to version 15

1. To Launch the download : "Clic here" ====>>>>
2. Choice "Save as" and not "save"
3. Stop the S4i web site in IIS or stop the Apache server.
4. Double-clic on the downloaded file to begin installation
5. Configure the new engine version 15 with the same configuration than the engine Webdep 14 or 12.
   1. For the engine version 15, do not forget to install the add-on for a web site running a Web site version Webdev 15 !
6. Delete the S4i web site entry in the engine Webdep 14 or 12
7. Do not forget to create a virtual web site entry :WD150AWP in IIS with the same methode and configuration than virtual web site entry WD120AWP or WD140AWP.
8. Now, you must modified the html page to launch the search engine S4i with the new virtual web entry : WD150AWP in place of WD120AWP or WD140AWP.
9. Restart the web site S4i dans l'IIS or in Apache serveur.
